I am new to the NES format and I have absolutely no idea how to run it on my computer. I know about emulators but i am not sure which or where to get one. If anyone could be so kind to please help me out with detailed instructions on what emulator to download, and how to transfer my downloaded NES file from WinRAR to the emulator so i can play these sweet sweet games thanks

You can download NES emulators here: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/

Just extract/install the emulator onto your computer.

Then extract the NES ROM file anywhere onto your computer.

Now run the emulator and at the top of the screen on the emulator, there should be a button saying "File" or "Open ROM" or something like that.

Now a row of buttons should come down, click on the button that lets you open a ROM file.

Open ROM file.

Profit!
