Post Question about Memory (RAM) 
I want to disable video memory, i got 480MB ram right now. Then i have 32MB shared video memory. UGH.  How do i disable video memory so i can get 512MB RAM nod

or should i keep it the way it is frown

You can set the amount of shared vidmem in your BIOS settings.
If you have an onboard vidchip (not a separate vidcard) it would be pretty dumb to disable shared vidmem.

Plug in a separate vidcard and you can disable all shared vidmem.

i cant plug in a new video card

Soo, buying new memory is the way forwards. If you did manage to disable that video memory you'd probably end up with a blank screen, extremely useful that nod   [/irony]

A 1Gig-memory lies somewhere ~25$ nowadays.
(I actually did a fairly recent memory upgrade on my laptop, what you should be prepared for is that two different memories might not work together.)

Everything subject to if you really do need more memory of course (check how much is used/available in the task manager under Performance--physical memory).
