what is the difference between this section and the spam section??

I just wanna know when shall I post here and when shall I poost in spam section

help with non-game related problems i would guess.

Spam is just crap. This section can contain things like movies and other things that aren't total crap. At least that's what I think.

Infact it's not totally clear to me either.
Perhaps we should wait for grades...

Isn't that already the purpose of the General Discussion section?

I would actually believe that and Off-Topic section is pretty pointless if you already have a spam section... I would categorize both as the same...

I'd say that Off-Topic means that if a topic is set people deviate away from that topic and discuss something completely different... But things like that also happen a lot on spam forums...

Spam is spam, period.
An off-topic discussion can be anything not related to CGN or games, such as help with installing firefox, or talking about, say, your favorite kind of pets.

I'm just trying some new sections to see what happens anyway. I'll probably change this board to an "off-topic help board" instead. Pretty much anything that wasn't accepted on the forum before, such as help with games you didn't download here, will be allowed here now. (without the informal "obligation" of giving support for us admins/mods)

Ah, I see, now it's starting to make sense, sounds like a good plan to me.
