Online text games (MUDS)

Postby brokendownflier » Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:13 pm

So lately I've gotten back into online text games or MUDS (Multi User Domains) and figured I'd post my current fave, Achaea. It's consistantly ranked among the top 10 MUDS on various sites that keep track of these things.--In fact all 5 of these games are in the top 11 on http://www.topmudsites.com I'll also touch briefly on the other games out there by the Iron Realms Entertainment. All of these games will always free to play though you can choose to trade your real-life cash for game credits that can by a large selection of Artifacts.

Note: Yes they all end in ?eid=ach429412711. That's so they know who's doing the most recruiting for their games and what methods work the best to bring people to them. Please don't remove that part if you decide to create a character on any of these games.

http://www.midkemiaonline.com/signup.ph ... h429412711

We are a fast paced, thrilling, text-based MMORPG under development for release in December 2009, based in the acclaimed works of New York Times-bestselling author Raymond E. Feist.

Midkemia Online is set in the world of Raymond Feist's Midkemia, after A Darkness At Sethanon. It's a good idea to read the original trilogy (released as 4 books: Magician: Apprentice, Magician: Master, Silverthorn, and A Darkness At Sethanon), but is in no way required to play the game. You can learn about the game and its wonderful mythos and history as you play.

Oh and instead of making the above post even longer, I hope you give any of those games a fair tryout before posting that they suck. To get a really decent idea of them it can take anywhere from 5-9 hours of online time just reading and looking around.
