I didn't see that one coming... Too bad they're only selling the pc versions though.

I don't think these games are really that big of a loss.

In general, every game that is being re-released is a loss to the abandonware community.

But the flipside of that coin is that every game still being released is a benefit to the gaming community as a whole. Better to re-release them than ESA protect and watch the games just fade away.

Very true. The only problem is that I can't find any of those re-released games anywhere around here (NL)... For examply, I've been looking for a legit copy of Death Rally for over a year now and there aren't ANY stores here that can get it for me... The only way I could get it would be through 3D-Realms' own shop, but I lack the credit card...

Well in general, the only way you can get any of the 3D Realms games has always been their site since they bought the rights to the games.

Not good for me
For people who lives outside the USA, europe, or japan, if a company re-releases aren't good because if we buy it, the shipping cost is too high, I live in Uruguay and it's very strange to find an original game on sale, I mean that here the game are pirated, and that not much people here would pay so much for a game when it costs less to buy a pirate. That's why I prefer abandonware than to buy games, well I don't think that's the situation of most of you but I'm just giving my situation

You might want to be a bit careful with the gravedigging, the topic is over a year old.
