The "Gold" editions of those games are usually released some time after the normal version, and often have extra content.
Command & Conquer Gold has an improved engine compared to the normal version (SVGA resolutions supported)
POD Gold is a bit special. It's also called POD 2.0, because it's the first version of that game that was publicly available. The first edition was only bundled with new PCs that had an Intel processor, and were meant to showcase its abilities.
Basically, for most of those "Gold" games, there's no reason to have the normal version on our site next to or instead of the Gold edition.
