It would be a lot of help to play my DOS games on the laptop, and my own computer is broken anyway so I am very happy and I hope my DOS games work on it when i get it!

Lucky bum, I have to rely on handouts from my local computer stores, and it's only 386's and stuff.

If i want to buy a p2 laptop in Canada with a good battery, i need to pay almost 200$!

Are you serious? Where in Canada? Ontario? Everythings damn expensive over there. You ought to come over to BC. For $200.00 I could get a computer with a PIII 900 MhZ processor, a fairly decent case and power supply, a not too shabby graphics card, a fairly up to date motherboard, 512 megabytes of ram, and a kyboard/mouse/monitor.

yup, they jack up the prices in N.B because most of the people don't know much about computers, or their prices. $:\$

I wouldn't :P Well, I got lucky with some stuff as I got a P3 533 desktop and a P 75 laptop for free. The battery of the laptop is busted though and way to expensive to replace.
I could insert 10AA NiMH batteries, but they'll have to be of 3000mah or higher to keep the darn thing running for more than 1 hour...

Hey Smackdat, if you can get your hands on a slot 1 p2/p3 motherboard for a low price, I can provide you with one or 2 p3 550 slot 1 processors. I have to test them first though to make sure they work. Both are passively cooled and were used in an IBM intellistation dual processor workstation PC. We could work out a price for those I think?
