Driving games Old and New

who else here loves driving games??
for me it all started with the original arcade version of outrun i played when i was at 6 flags once, from there i got mario cart, midtown madness, midtown madness 2, motocross 2,Need for Speed High Stakes, 18 Wheels of Steel Pedal to the Metal, and my most recent Need for Speed Most Wanted (its awesome)

Well my first driving games were:

Need for speed 1
Stunts
Hard truck
Ironman

And definitly Outrun

My favourite driving game was, is , and will be forever, this: the genuine Destruction Derby.

I was never a great racing game fan, especialy the simulations where not my taste. But some special kind of racing games i love: future racer in arcadestyle or with such a madmax setting. That's my taste.
So my only and classic racer is P.O.D., planet of death. This game still runs on my machine, after many patches and voodoo emulation... .
I also liked the wipeout series, but you need too much time, to learn to drive, because the controlls are hard to learn. It plays like a simulation, and that can destroy the fun of pure speed, if you don`t want to practice so long.
