Here's a list of the forum rules which you must obey at all times:
- Pornograpic pictures/signatures or any form of porn will be removed and you'll be banned instantly. No warning, just an immediate ban. The CGN Forum was meant to be a fun place where Abandonware fans can discuss about games, ask questions, etcereta. Not for a porn palace.
- Swearing. Swearing is allowed, but not on an other person. But swearing has a limit. Please, when you think that your post contains too much swearing, please use **** to keep your post a good post. Also the overuse of the word gay or any other stuff like that will result in a ban. Moderators and Administrators are allowed to edit your post and remove the swearing. When editing does not have any use, your post will be removed and you'll receive a possible warning/ban.
- Complaints about locked/removed topics. If you have any complaints about your thread deleted or locked, please contact an Administator or a Moderator and do not post a new thread. Your post will be removed and you'll receive a warning. All locked or removed topics have been locked or removed for a reason, if you're unsure about it and you didn't find it in the Admins' reply, please contact your thread locker.
- Please do not post 'this thread will be locked' or something like that in a spam topic. If you're replying to a spam topic, you're posting spam yourself. Just let the thread drop until a mod or admin takes action.
- Languages on the forum. The only official language you may use on this forum is English. Please do not use different languages because we can't moderate the posts you post correctly.
- Threads may not be longer than 20 pages. When your thread has reached the 20 pages, a mod or admin will lock it because the original idea of the thread starter has probably been gone. However, you may start a new thread about this subject. This rule is so off-topic will better for us to moderate. This rule does not apply in the Spam Forum.
- All threads may be locked on a request of the thread starter.
- Problems with mods/admins. If you have a problem, please PM the certain staff member and do not post a new thread about it.
- When should I reply to a thread? You must ask yourself the following questions: Is my reply making any sense at all? Am I making a funny, informative or helpful post? If you can answer yes to one of them, then please post, if not, please do not reply because it's probably spam.
- Overuse of smileys. Please limit your smiley use. There is a maximum of 3 smileys you may use per post (for example
), not more, otherwise your post will be edited/removed.
- No cheap language. What we mean by this is U instead of You and Y instead of Why, etcetera. Also, please do not use all your first letter of your words with a capital (for example Hello I'm New Here And I Have A Question). - Don't use animated avatars or signatures. We don't allow irritating animated avatars or signatures; just to keep our forum a clean and nice place to look around; this also includes huge images (max. height 100 pixels). When you put one of these signatures or avatars up we will remove them or warn you.
- Advertising is allowed but only till a certain level, but absolutly no refferal links. This means that you may not start a new thread just for plain advertising. If someone asks about your website, you may of course show it in a reply (if it's related to the Abandonware scene and also not in a new thread) If you want to share your website with someone else, please use PM.
- NO OLD THREAD BUMPING. You may only thread bump in the Spam Forum, though. If you haven't recieved a new reply to a thread of yours, PM one of the crew members and ask if you may bump it. (A thread which is not replied to for two weeks is considered an old thread.)
