I use hotmail because most of my friends use it and I like to stay in touch with them.

GMAIL big grin
but you have to get an invite from somebody frown

The following thing is from gmail.com

About Gmail
Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want.

Search, don't sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.

Don't throw anything away.
Over 2725.778085 megabytes (and counting) of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.

Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation[/b]

Gmail, without a doubt. You have to get used to it for a while, but then you don't want to return to either Hotmail or Yahoo. I used those too and I must say that I don't like either.

I still use an expired @beer.com e-mail address on msn. That for sure prevents a lot of spam from reaching me!

I think you can use the webbased googletalk on Win ME... You can enable that somewhere in the bottom of the inbox page.
