Most likely the drive you use to play Destruction Derby 2 is not the first drive in the alphabet, this game is too old to be aware of the fact that your workstation could have more than 1 cd-rom drive.
Solution:
Mount the game or insert the disc in the drive that comes first in the alphabet.
